What We Commonly Replace
The parts that fail underway are rarely the electronics. They're the vessel-specific hardware that's never a stocked spare, and the ones OEM makes you wait weeks for.
Raw Water System
Sea strainer housings and baskets, impeller housings and cover plates, and water pump housings, all of which crack, clog, or corrode long before the impeller itself needs replacing.
Brackets & Mounts
Alternator brackets, engine mounts, generator mounting brackets, and bilge pump brackets. Vibration fatigue takes these out, and they're almost never a stocked spare since they're vessel-specific.
Deck & Hull Hardware
Cleats, stanchion bases, hinges, latches, and thru-hull fitting handles. Corrosion and snapping are common, and these are usually custom-fit to the boat, meaning a factory order and a wait.
Exhaust & Cooling Fittings
Exhaust elbows and manifold-adjacent brackets that corrode from constant saltwater and heat cycling, plus hose fitting adapters and clamps worn out by UV and salt exposure.
Enclosures & Glazing
Port light frames, helm console covers, and instrument panel housings. Exactly where plexiglass and aluminum fabrication do their best work.
Belt-Driven Accessories
Belt tensioner brackets and pulley guards. The belt itself isn't something we fabricate, but the hardware around it fails just as often and is rarely on the shelf.
